Carved and painted leather shadow puppet, wayang kulit, depicting Kumbakarna from the Ramayana, or Buta Raton, a demon king, from the Mahabharata. He has coarse features and a crown. He wears a green long-sleeved jacket and a praba, or backwing. The figure is attached to a central wooden support, with an articulated arm attached to a smaller wooden rod. Decorated with polychrome pigments and pierced detailing.
