Ceremonial knife, madik, with single-edged curved metal blade and carved wood hilt. The blade is pointed at the tip, with a small hook on one side where it meets the hilt. The back of the blade is very slightly convex and flat, tapering to the tip. Hilt has heavily carved decorative knob above a smooth slightly curved section where it would be held. At the lower end the hilt has a scalloped lip below which it tapers towards the blade. This part has an uneven surface which suggests that it was once bound with a bungkung, though no binding material remains.
