Bowl of conical form with wide, flat flange with upturned rim, and flat base. The clay body is coarse, red earthenware, coated with cream slip. The bowl is decorated with incised floral and linear designs through the cream slip, covered with a yellowish and green lead glaze. This type of lead glazed ware with quick and dynamic incised decoration probably belongs to a folk ware type made in Jieshou city, in Anhui province.
