A cardboard box for a tortoiseshell comb. It is shaped like an elongated fan and is covered in a marbled paper in gold, red and green pigment. The box has been stitched together and this can be seen on the edges where the paper has worn away. On the lid, there is a rectangular area of speckled paintloss where it looks like a label has been removed.
