Woman's apron. Rectangle of black cloth with a backing cloth to support the heavy gold and silver thread embroidered foliate patterns. Embroidered ribbon edging hiding the attachment of a fringe on the two vertical short sides, and a set of long multicoloured tassles on the base. Attached by a blue cord to another similar (30.8.67/16b). One worn at the back, one at the front, by women. Cloth: 15 1/2" x 6"; W. tassles L: 35".
