Small box and lid made from birch bark. Oval box with a strip of red leather surrounding it. The lid is decorated with three double discs at each end, one red and two beige, with a red-topped triple disc at the centre, and the red leather strip around the box is similarly decorated. There is a leather loop handle on the top of the lid.
Handwritten label in ink reads:'NORWAY. Small box made from birch bark. ' and on reverse '31 Augst. 1928.' The Museum number has been added to this side of the label.
