One pin mounted on display board, originally found with poppet case (now missing). The board is labelled on the front 'Brass pins and poppet case in which they were sold. Old English. Grantham, Lincs. Presd by Mr S Cowles.' Also labelled on the back 'Brass pins in a "poppet" case in which they were sold found at Grantham, Lincolnshire ?for the [illegible] of the Mowbeck, a stream that flows into the Witham, supposed to be locally magic, ?in found in considerable quantities. Presented by S Cowles, 1931.'
