There will be tree works in the Gardens this week – please follow signs on site. The lift will be out of service until Friday 28 June while we work on a replacement.
Rectangular wooden bullroarer with triangular notches cut from the edges. It is pierced at one end, and has a string attached. It has a pencil inscription on one side stating that it was found washed up on the shore in County Antrim, Ireland, in 1905.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database. Some of this is incomplete and there may be errors. This part of the website is also still under construction, so there may be some fields repeated or incorrectly formatted information.
