Writing brush, mao bi, with long bamboo shaft and bristles made from pure sheep wool. The shaft is incised with Chinese inscriptions which indicate the material of the bristles, highlighted in blue, and that the maker from Huzhou, highlighted in red.

Collection Information

These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
