A cylindrical wooden lacquered box with a lid. The container has paper lining on the inside. The contents of the box consists of a spice, possibly peppercorns which are a deep red colour. The container is lacquered both on the outer and the inner surfaces. The outside surface is a deep red and has a floral decoration. The decoration is in soft greens, pinks and gold. The inside of the container is lacquered in black. The lid is round with a flat top, and has a floral decoration and a butterfly depicted. The inside of the lid has a small label and an inscription, possible in Arabic.
