Open overskirt of pleated black fabric and heavy silver thread embroidery. Gathered at top with two strands of green cord. Embroidered in lower half with strips of silver with coloured yarn detailing in vertical columns of 3 alternating patterns covering groups of pleats. Bottom of hem bound in red thread. Strips of silver embroidery also above hem, again with coloured yarn details, and in one vertical column where the sides of the skirt join. Fastened with press studs and hooks and eyes.
