Netsuke in the form of an ivory study of a man, possibly a Noh actor. A fishing basket hangs on a cord from his left shoulder and his right hand rests on this. His face is plain, his nose and mouth slightly distorted. There are four leaves forming a kind of collar at the back of his neck over his outer cloak.
