Ottoman Turkish sword kilij (also pala), the blade is ‘T’ section with a false edge (double edge or yelman) at the tip. The grip and scabbard mounts (crosspiece and top mounts of the scabbard are all missing) made from copper alloy and set with cabochon turquoise (probably glass copies) and tear-drop shaped fluted corals. The scabbard is wooden. Sabre sheath of wood, with turquoise decoration.
