Brass spearhead, qiang tou, with a ribbed central spike with two barbs and two curved blades engulfed by a lion's head, above which is a floral design inlaid with a red glass bead. The glass bead on the reverse is missing. The spearhead is joined to a tubular socket decorated with a dragon's head and a ribbed bulb, which is engraved with nine Chinese characters. These indicate that the spearhead was a gift presented by 'pan yue qing' to his teacher. Possibly for ceremonial use.
