pilgrim flask

Circular brass flask with flattened sides and an oblong stand. Two curved handles on the shoulders. One projecting ring in the middle of the short neck; mouth has everted rim. On each side is a raised and slightly domed medallion. On the medallion, which has a stylised lotus flower at the centre, there is floral and vegetal engraved decoration with the background in black lac. The neck, handles and stand also have a black lac background. On the rest of the body the background of the floral and vegetal engraved decoration is in red lac.
