Taxidermy specimen of a pigeon (Columba Livia) standing on a rectangular wooden mount.
Skilled at flight, they have light, strong, smooth feathers, as skeleton that is light and strong, and specially shaped wings. Wing is tear dropped shaped, this shape is called aerofoil and is helpful for flying because it helps to generate lift and reduce drag. Air moves more quickly over the top of the wing, reducing air pressure and creating lift.
