Percussion idiophones, harness bell.

Pellet bell. The bronze bell is cast in the form of two adjoined hexagonal cones with a large aperture in each face. A large pellet is enclosed. On the apex of one cone is a square lug pierced with a hole for suspension, and the other extends to three small points. Originally attached to the harness of a horse.
