Anglo-German system. Serial number 87750. No label remains, but the instrument is stamped 'J. Sheldon' six times on each end, and 'J. Peake, Hanley' once. In addition the numbers '1815' and '259' are impressed into the right hand end, and are probably concertina band stock numbers. 6.25" diameter flat mahogany ends, simple frets, later plastic backing. 31 broad bone keys: 15 each side + 1 air. Later thick leather straps with screws absent. Five-fold black leather bellows with gold star papers. Steel reeds in radial reed pan.
