The Horniman Museum will be closed from 24-26 December. The Horniman Gardens will be closed 25 December only.
Kris with straight blade and carved ivory handle, with a wooden sheath. Unusual jawa demam hulu, very upright clear legs and arms. Very unusual for this sheath to have this hulu. Very early style. Good straight East Javanese style blade. Hilt Minangkabau or Straits Bugis but sheath East Java or Madura.
