Small, rectangular weft-faced, tabby-woven woollen textile decorated with multicoloured bands. The most colourful bands are decorated with chevron motifs worked in multicoloured synthetic fibre(?) on a black ground. They are framed by sets of dotted black and white bands. Some of the sets of narrower coloured bands incorporate lines of silver-coloured metal-wrapped thread. Either end of each sequence is a slightly wider red band. Between these are black bands, some of which contain a single strip of wood. In 2 of the 3 bands there is a space in the weave, possibly where there had been a similar piece of wood or stick. The textile has selvedges on both longer sides, and appears to have been cut at the shorter sides.
