club (weapons: bludgeon)

Tapering pole club with rounded end and elongated rounded conical pommel. The upper half of the head is finely engraved with an extremely shallow representation of double ended janiform figure wearing head-dresses, this was formerly inlaid with white paint although much of this has now been lost. Label on the handle reads '…New Hebrides…[illegible] …Edge Partington..[illegible].
