Kiakavo

Forked gun stock dancing club with a raised ridge running in the crotch between the striking head and the spur. The butt terminates in a stepped, domed pommel. This example was formerly wrapped throughout with a complex pattern of coiled coconut fibre cordage in both natural colour, black and a bicolour fibre of the two woven together. Much of the lower portion of this binding has become loose or has been lost.
