Circular hand net made of coconut fibre rope on a circular frame of wood. There is a long, double shoulder strap and the rope has been knotted to form a net with square holes.

Circular hand net that is likely to have been used for the capture of small fish and the collection of shell fish by women in the shallows near the shore. The net has shoulder strap from two lenghts of rope enabling it to be worn over the shoulders, as well as carried in the hand.
