'Harvest barrel' made from staves of wood surrounded by four iron hoops. A leather strap passes through holes in a rectangular protrusion at the top which has ahole at the centre. Next to it is a much smaller hole and another which was been plugged with cork. Remains of green paint. Evidence of old wood worm infestation, and some corrosion to the iron hoops.
