Plant fibre, plaited fan from India. The main head of the fan is woven to produce a diamond pattern on the face, natural colour. A thin sheet of plant fibre is folded over a cylindrical wooden pole, which acts as the fans handle, creating a double flapped fan. The fan head is shaped as a trapezium with a rounded bottom. The handle is lathed into a bulb shape at either end, and is painted red.
