

Round, copper coin of 10 cash, minted in the 'bingwu' year (1906) of the Guangxu reign period (1875-1908) of the Qing dynasty. On the obverse, a Chinese character '"e" (an ancient name for Hubei province) inscribed at centre, surrounded by four Chinese characters meaning 'the Great Qing copper coin' within a beaded circle. On the upper half of the outer circle are Manchu inscriptions flanked by two Chinese characters "bingwu" denoting the year of production (1906). On either end of the middle, from right to left, are two Chinese characters "hu bu" (Board of Revenue), and at the bottom a Chinese incsription meaning '10 Cash'. On the reverse is a curved, front-facing dragon amid cloud scrolls within a beaded circle, surrounded by an outer circle with the Chinese inscription "Guangxu nian zao" (made in the Guangxu reign period) above, and with English "Tai-Ching-Ti-Kuo copper coin" (The Great Qing Empire's copper coin) below.
