


Round, copper coin of ten cash with a square hole at the centre. It has a Chinese inscription 'Tongzhi zhongbao' meaning 'important treasure of the Tongzhi reign period', 1862-1874 on the obverse. On the reverse there is a Chinese inscription meaning 'ten cash' arranged from top to bottom, and Manchu inscriptions arranged from right to left. The reverse is coated with a turquoise patina.
