incense burner

Copper alloy incense burner in the form of a mythical beast, 'suanni', the eighth son of dragon, which looks like a lion and like smoke. It is depicted with two horns, mane, an open mouth and a lotus bud knob on top of its head, which turns to one side. It also has curled hair covering the body, winged legs and fork-like upturned tail. It is hollow and has two openings, one at its belly and the other at mouth. It would once have had stones in the eyes, but these are now missing. It is one of a matching pair.
