Octagonal pipe bowl carved from pink and grey stone. There are inscriptions along the side and a swastika pattern in a narrow band around the edge. One Inscription reads 蒙自譚元記定做 ‘meng zi tan yuan ji ding zuo ’. This reveals the place of manufacture is ‘Tan Yuan Ji’. The second inscription is a bit unclear, but it mainly claims the good quality and reputation of ‘Tan Yuan Ji’.
