pipe (narcotics & intoxicants: smoking)

Tobacco pipe with a bamboo bowl and stem. The bowl is formed from a length of bamboo, widening at the opening where the textured remains of roots or offshoots stems are evident. A circular brass rim has been added to the mouth of the bowl, held in place with a number of iron pins, some of which are missing. The stem is formed from a separate narrow bamboo tube set in the side.
