Framed picture in mother of pearl and lacquered and gilt wood depicting Daikoku inside a receptacle (his hammer) whose cover is half open. He wears a cloth headdress depicted in mother-of-pearl, has a beard and whiskers, a chubby hand touching his chin and is laughing. His kimono is richly decorated with gold floral motifs. The receptacle itself has a decorative motif depicting a gilt phoenix. A three-toed claw protrudes from behind it. Scattered across the plain wood background are various lucky emblems in mother-of-pearl. Damaged. 554w x 777h.
