He wears a cloth headdress depicted in mother-of-pearl, has a beard and whiskers, a chubby hand touching his chin and is laughing. His kimono is richly decorated with gold floral motifs. The receptacle itself has a decorative motif depicting a gilt phoenix. A three-toed claw protrudes from behind it.
