An optical toy, consisting of a circle of card, cut out by hand, with an image on each side and string tied to the edges in order to spin it. On the first side is a picture of a Royal Oak, above it is written 'Why is this tree Royal' On the other side, is an image of the torso of a king, presumably Charles the second. Below him it says ' Because it saved a Monarch'

Collection Information

These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
