The head of a small sheep figurine in red terracotta. It has curled horns with applique flowers at the point of each horn, and a straight applique band of flowers between the horns from the middle of the muzzle. The mouth parts are indicated by incisions, and around the neck there appears to be a dotted band.

Marked in black ink with ‘Taxila’, site of the great complex of ancient cities near Islamabad in Pakistan. Archaeological context: presumably unstratified and probably from a surface collection. Given by Col D H Gordon (1952/3).
