Sample of narrow blue-black woven banding. Seemingly from a longer textile with gold-coloured decoration. The central panel has a pattern of confronting peacocks which have red eyes. They are separated by floral motifs. This is bordered either side by a zigzag pattern which is framed by red stripes. Between one border and the selvedge is a pattern of buti. Attached handwritten label reads: ' Ahmedabad List no 94. One piece of gold and silk work. 1 yard long. Proce Rs. 2. 8- ".'
