Punch ladle consisting of two pieces. The bowl is turned on a lathe with a rounded bottom and concave sides. The handle is attached by a wooden thread and is round in cross section stepping to a waisted section that flares towards the tip where there is a small pommel. There are two closely set circumferential grooves carved around the handle 53mm from the tip.
