ladle (food processing & storage)

Wooden ladle with a large, deep teardrop-shaped bowl that is slightly pointed at the tip. The handle is roughly square in cross-section and tapers to a carved point. There is a small incised groove running the length of the handle on the upper side. The rim of the bowl also has an incised groove running around both the inside and outside edges. The top third of the bowl, and the entire rear side, are stained red. There are three incised lines in the centre of the bowl, the middle of which is intersected by 10 small lines. There are also three small horizontal incised lines on the rear of the bowl.
