textile; barkcloth; tapa

Rectangular cream barkcloth with rubbed(?) decoration consisting of patterned squares created by light brown lines. These have partly overpainted patterns in slightly glossy darker brown. The textile might have been part of a larger cloth as one shorter side appears to have been cut. The other sides have a thinner plain edge. The painted decoration consists of 2 wider, and 5 narrower stripes containing square, traingular and diamond patterns, as well as short diagonals.
