Rectangular cream barkcloth decorated with painted and stencilled decoration in red and black. On the shorter sides the textile is framed by black bands, with a band of cream diamonds on the inside. The centre band divides the panel into 2 halves. The sets of bands are overall framed by cream diamonds on a black ground. Each of the halves is divided into 2 rectangular areas containing similar patterns across the central divide. One side contains a coloured triangle and chevrons decorated with cream star motifs Intersperse with black and cream patterned chevrons. On the other side the rectangles containat least one stripe with a large X-shape created by 2 gridded curves on a ground of bands, diagonals, etc. Between, or surrounding these are sets of stripes, again framed by stripes containing cream diamonds on black.
