Colour whitish-yellow or grey that can change depending on the fish's temperament. Five narrow black bars on the body and one on head through the eye. A sharp spine or blade characteristic of surgeonfish is located at the base of the caudal (tail) fin, and is used in aggressive displays or self defence.
