Horniman Museum Late

Enjoy an evening at the Horniman Museum Late with extended opening times once a month often with music and crafts.

June’s late will be all about coral, in collaboration with Information Experience Design students from the Royal College of Art.

Spectrum of the Reef workshop

Rebuild the Reef

‘Where there is singing, there you will settle down’ workshop and performance

Shhh, listen to me, my dear.

I’m humming, sighing, singing, murmuring.

Do you hear me?

Coral reefs crackle in polyphonic symphonies to lure in life of all forms – but as they vanish, so do their voices. Join this workshop attuning to these fading soundscapes through crafting self-made instruments, deep listening, and then take part in a collective live performance.

Coral Love Zine

Dive into the secret life of corals! Check out a copy of this special zine blending science, stories, and participatory art to reveal how museum researchers are helping corals to thrive again.

The Robot Zoo

Enter the fascinating world of The Robot Zoo and discover the mechanisms that give animals their amazing abilities. This interactive exhibition features larger-than-life animals that have been innovatively recreated using a variety of familiar machine parts and gadgets to reveal how their real life counterparts see, eat, hunt and hide.
