Short-sleeved, natural-coloured fulled wool coat. It is constructed from many narrow woven strips, of 2.2. twill, and has dense decoration at the neck, the chest, at the cuffs, the front and side openings and round the hem. The main embroidery is applied lined of plaited silks and areas of solid red applied braiding, arranged in swirling patterns. There are two vertical rows of gold-and silver-coloured globular filigree 'buttons' on either side of the opening. The coat's facings are made of a fulled red woollen fabric. [Textile]
