One free hand holds a crooked staff with a bird's head handle. The other hand holds a leaf-shaped fan. He is barefoot. The parchment is pierced with decorative holes.

Rusi the Hermit, regarded as the protector of the troupe, appears in all Nang performances. This figure has religious and magical powers.
