Wooden rice steamer with a wooden lid. The bucket-shaped container is made from eight shaped pieces of wood with two lug handles carved out of the wooden sides. The steamer is bound with bamboo cane strips plaited together. The bottom is removable with slits cut for the passage of steam. It is used by placing it over a vessel containing boiling water.
