Yam digging stick, made from a single piece of wood with a rough point at each end.
Long straight stick with both ends coming to a round point. Medium-dark wood with naturally lighter colour particularly evident on one side along the centre. Thin translucent twine (possibly fishing line) tied snugly around about a third of the way along the stick. There are some patches of shiny residue, possibly an old adhesive.
Label: Old exhibition label, reading 'WOMAN'S DIGGING STICK, FOR / GRUBBING UP YAMS. ALSO USED / AS A CLUB. CENTRAL AUSTRALIA'.
