Base or podium of a ceramic pagoda model. It is hexagonal in section, with steps and a railing. The body is made of pale grey stoneware highlighted with white, green, and brown glaze. The pedestal has six rectangular panels with underglaze blue decorations, bordered with a band of cloud-collar designs above, and a band of fleur-de-lis pattern at the bottom. The enclosed area of the podium is painted with brown wash. There is a tubular support at the centre to stablise the tower block. The base is flat and unglazed. There is a chip at one corner of the railing.
