Long, hand woven linen dress, made up of many smaller pieces of fabric hand sewn together. It has a small upright collar and a 'V' shaped neck opening and sleeves set square into the body of the dress. There is heavily worked embroidery in three separate areas: around the neck, along the top of the arms and at the lower front and back of the garment. The thread used is black wool (hair). The cuffs are edged with linen (?) fringing and the lower end of the sleeve is lined with red cotton and edged with purple rick rack. [Textile]
