5 strings pegged from the top of the neck. 11 (2 cikari, 2 sympathetic) strings pegged from below the nut. The bridges for the cikari strings are 2 fixed ivory posts beneath the 4th and 8th pegs for the sympathetic strings; bridge for main strings present, bridge for sympathetic strings absent. Marks on the back of the neck indicate 16 frets, although none survive. Asymmetrical mihrab. Over all length 1350mm approx.
