Antimony container made of leather, with a rounded bottom and long, narrow neck. Two leather tassel hang from the container, decorated in bands of red and white. A lid is attached to the container with a leather cord.

Label: The object is acompanied by a green Church Missionary Society label, reading 'Vanity Case, / for holding Antimony: / used for beautifying the eyes. / yoruba Country. / WEST AFRICA.'.

A handwritten label also is stored with the object, reading 'Ground antimony or / caseterite [sic] is stored in / container for use. / Hausa / Fulani [...] / 9/7/73'.
