dish (food service)

A rectangular food dish made of wood. The exterior of the dish is carved with anthropomorphic or zoomorphic figures. There are oval pieces of either bone or shell. There are squares of mother of pearl inlaid down the sides of the container. Some of the shells and mother of pearl have become detached and are missing.

Collection Information

These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
